Hello all!
On June 15th, 2012 we shared a development photo of the project “DCS: F/A-18E Super Hornet by CoreTex Designs” to a small amount people that liked us on Facebook. It quickly went viral, and not just to the ED forums, but all over the internet. We have been keeping up with most of the posts, and yes we plan on a high fidelity aircraft (with hopeful information from Boeing, the US Navy, and possibly other Naval Aviators). We are discussing the incorporation of some type of aircraft carrier add-on as well.
CoreTex Designs is a team of individuals that are looking to create a high quality DCS add-on to the best of our ability. Some of our members have years of experience (including degrees in Game Art & Design) and with years of experience in the flight simulator community. All in all we all have a great amount of experience in the flight simulator world.
On the issue of the “TurboSquid” model being used. To clarify we are using the “TurboSquid” model as a basis of our model. This was a decision made by the game development team to save months of work, and relief some stress put on the whole team. We do have all the rights to use, and publish this model. We plan to heavily modify this “TurboSquid” model in the near future to make it our own.
We are sorry for the confusion of what the group is and how it works. Like we stated, we didn't mean for confusion and assumptions, and we especially didn't mean for it to spread so quickly, let alone spreading at all. We will also be announcing our product officially, very soon.
REMEMBER, the aircraft is in very; very early stages of development. All raised flags and questions are just still assumptions or rumors that were raised around the community.
We are very thankful for all the support we have received over the past few days.
For any questions and/or comments, concerns, suggestions or information please contact our development email, we will be happy to take a look!
Best regards,
CoreTex Designs

A-10C = 100.000 Polys
